Re-evaluation of the articles allows for a review of each article based on the latest criteria and settings. This is especially useful if changes have been made to the number of reviews required per article or other screening parameters.
To update the Workflow settings, follow the below steps:
- Open “Settings” from the sidebar on the left.
- Click on “Workflow” to access the latest settings.
- If you set the "Number of reviews required per article" as 1, the article will undergo screening once and then be moved to the next stage or excluded based on the reviewer's decision. This approach is more aligned with a Targeted Literature Review (TLR), where the focus is on quickly identifying relevant articles based on specific criteria.
- If you change "Number of reviews required per article" from 1 to 2, "Update" & "Evaluate articles", the articles reviewed will not progress to the next stage or be excluded until they are reviewed by another reviewer. This approach is more closely associated with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), where multiple reviewers independently assess the relevance and eligibility of articles to ensure a more rigorous and comprehensive review process.
- If conflicts arise between the reviewers' decisions, they can be resolved by the Lead Reviewer or Project Owner. The 'Who can resolve conflicts' section explains the process for resolving conflicts.
