Direct PDF Upload to Data Extraction
EasySLR allows you to start Data Extraction directly by uploading PDFs, without first completing Title–Abstract or Full-Text screening. This feature is designed for teams that already have finalised studies or want to begin extraction immediately, saving significant setup time.
What Is Direct PDF Upload to Data Extraction?
With this feature, users can upload PDFs straight into the Data Extraction (DE) stage. Once uploaded, articles are created automatically in the project and are immediately available for data extraction.
This is especially useful when:
Your final study list is already confirmed
Screening was completed outside EasySLR
You want to focus only on data extraction and analysis
How to Upload PDFs Directly to Data Extraction
Open your project in EasySLR
Go to Uploads
Select Data Extraction
Click Upload PDFs
Upload one or multiple PDF files (bulk upload supported)
Click Upload PDFs again
Platform will extract the article metadata and create a record
You can manually add or update missing metadata when it is not automatically extracted by AI.
Once all the information is updated, select the articles and click import
Uploaded articles appear directly in the Data Extraction stage, ready for extraction
Prerequisite: Make sure at least one Include reason is added in the project settings. This is required for the system to correctly map articles and move them to the Data Extraction stage.
What Happens After Upload?
